The Harcourt and Districts Community Recovery Association (HADCRA) has been established to ensure our community has the opportunity to shape and lead our own recovery. Recovery is strongest when it is driven by local people, with local knowledge who can focus on local priorities.

What does HADCRA do?

  • Fosters community leadership in recovery initiatives
  • Works collaboratively with local community groups, emergency services, local government and other 3rd party agencies
  • Acts as a conduit for community voice to the Mount Alexander Shire Bushfire Recovery Committee
  • Enables community recovery, resilience and preparedness

Next Steps:

A meeting is scheduled Monday June Nov 22- We're getting together to talk about how we want to continue to work together as Harcourt recovers including how the future committee structure interacts with the Association and the broader community. We'll share several different approaches to organising community recovery - from traditional committees to more participatory models. You'll have the chance to discuss what feels right for this community, and why. We'll also explore the values and principles you want to guide how HADCRA makes decisions and takes action. if you can't join this meeting

There will be additional meetings so please help us to design them by completing the form below.
