What does heritage-listed mean?
Experts use eight key criteria to asses heritage - check them out to the right. A Heritage Overlay is applied to any heritage place that has been formally recognised on the Victorian Heritage Register or identified in the Mount Alexander Planning Scheme.
What are we looking for?
We want you to let us know about the heritage places and areas that you value, and why they are important to you. Especially all the places we may not know about, that aren't visible from the street. Tell us about them and why you think they might have heritage value.
A heritage place could include a site, area, building, group of buildings, structure, archaeological site, tree, garden, geological formation, fossil site, habitat or other place of natural or cultural significance and its associated land.
It cannot include movable or portable objects such as machinery within a factory or furniture within a house.
What do you need?
