Help shape our Biodiversity Strategy

We are developing a Biodiversity Strategy to help guide how we protect and care for nature on Council managed land across our shire, and we want your input.

Biodiversity is all the plants, animals and natural systems that support healthy landscapes and communities. Your ideas, local knowledge and priorities will help shape practical actions and a shared approach to caring for nature now and into the future.

This page outlines how you can get involved, starting with a community workshop.

There will be more opportunities to have your say as the strategy develops.

Get involved

  • Do the survey

The survey will be released on Friday 8 May.

  • Drop-in sessions

Dates, times and locations in June are to be confirmed.

What is biodiversity?

Biodiversity is all the plants, animals and natural systems around us, and the way they work together to support healthy landscapes and communities.
