Help shape the future of Elsie Palmer field

Thank you for your feedback on proposed upgrades to Elsie Palmer Field at Wesley Hill Recreation Reserve. The plans aim to better support both cricket and soccer and create a space the whole community can enjoy.

The field is home to the North Castlemaine Cricket Club, and the designs have been developed with input from the Club, Castlemaine Goldfields Football Club and our Community Asset Committee. The upgrade includes a shared sports field, improved cricket facilities and features that support everyday community use.

With soccer participation growing rapidly across the Shire, more suitable grounds are needed. These upgrades will help ensure there’s enough space for training and games now and into the future.

Thank you to the residents, players, parents and neighbours who shared their views on the proposed design and how it does or does not meet community needs.

The feedback period has closed and we are collating and analysing your input. We'll come back to you soon to let you know what we heard.
