Thank you for your ongoing interest in the Camp Reserve redevelopment project.

Update on the planning permit application

A planning permit application has been lodged with Council for the development of Camp Reserve as a Minor Sports and Recreation Facility.

The proposed works include the development of a centralised sport and community pavilion, two netball courts, and the demolition of the existing buildings and landscape integration works. We have included artist’s impressions to show the planned upgrade works.

The application will now be assessed by Council’s Planning team and advertised in due course. Once it is advertised, the application will be available for viewing through the My Mount Alexander portal.

In addition to this application another Town Planning Permit application has been submitted to convert the existing female public toilet block (located on Gingell Street side of oval) into a storage facility for cricket equipment.

This will replace the existing cricket storage shed that is located on the Barkers Creek side of the oval. This toilet block is not currently open for public use. These works will help to improve the functionality of the reserve for cricket.
