We believe Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems can help us achieve this because they are proven to:

  • Deter graffiti vandalism and other criminal activity
  • Make people feel safer
  • Provide important information for specific police investigations.

We have drafted this policy to make sure we have a consistent approach as we implement and manage the use of CCTV in public places across the shire, and to address data collection and privacy rights.
