Community members are invited to an information session to learn about the Newstead Flood Study and Mitigation Strategy.
The study is a long-term project that will help us improve how we prepare for and respond to floods in the future.
Stage one of the project involved community consultation, which took place in June 2024.
We’re now in stage two of the project, and we’re seeking feedback on a number of plans and strategies to create a flood-resilient Newstead.
Come to the community information session to:
- Learn about the Newstead Flood Study.
- View updated flood mapping following community consultation.
- Provide feedback on draft flood mitigation options.
- Ask questions of Council staff, Water Technology and the North Central Catchment Management Authority.
