What we have learned

The plan has bas been developed in accordance with the Victorian Disability Act 2006 (the Act).

Local Government is required every four years to produce and implement a Disability Action Plan (DAP) to address how Council will reduce and remove barriers for people with disability in our community.

However, the foundation of this draft plan has been developed from all the stories, experiences and voices we heard in our community. The objectives, actions and outcomes of this plan are a reflection of these interactions.

We acknowledge your stories, experiences and vulnerabilities. We thank you for sharing with us.

Thanks you for your comments on the Draft Disability Action and Inclusion Plan in May and June. We are now working on finalising the plan and seek adoption from Councillors. Watch this space....

  • We thank the Disability Action Plan Working Group

We have co-designed this plan with members of the Disability Action Plan Working Group.

The group has met regularly since September 2022 to discuss research, data and best practice, and share lived experience.
