Planning Scheme Amendment C99malx

We are proposing to update the Mount Alexander Planning Scheme with draft Amendment C99malx.

We consulted with the community and directly impacted residents across March 2024 and received minimal feedback which was resolved.

Next steps

Given a Planning Panel is not required Council will submit the amendment documents to the Minister for Planning seeking approval.

If approved by the Minister, a notice is published into the Government Gazette and the Mount Alexander Planning Scheme will be updated to reflect the amendment.

Mount Alexander Planning Scheme will be updated to reflect the amendment including:

  1. The Heritage Overlay mapping for the ten affected properties will be updated.
  2. Schedule to Clause 72.04 will be updated to remove the dot point relating to further strategic work that’s already completed.
